Course Description
This qualification reflects the role of frontline retail team members who uses a defined and limited range of operational skills to undertake workplace activities. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision of others.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements specified in the training package. However, learners entering this qualification may have satisfactorily completed an equivalent of Australian year 10 or Certificate I or higher.
All learners are required to undertake a Pre- Training Review and complete a language, literacy and numeracy test to ensure learner have the appropriate level of skills for the best chance of successful completion of the course, and to Identify learner’s learning and pathway needs.
Where applicable, Endeavour Institute of Training and Education ensures that learners with special needs would require a clearance from a medical practitioner.
Digital Literacy
Learners are expected to have a minimum computer skill to use a computer, a work processor and use the internet.
Course Duration
24 weeks as a full-time course. Includes 4 weeks of term breaks and school holidays.
Delivery Mode
Face to face classes will be scheduled for 2 days a week from 9:00 am to 4.30pm. Options of blended learning available and on the job learning. For further information contact our expert training team.
Course Structure
To be awarded this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 12 units of competency, consisting of 7 core units and 5 elective units.

Assessments
A range of assessment methods will be used to assess required skills and knowledge for each unit of competency. These may include but not limited to

- Simulated learning
RPL/Credit Transfer:
Learners do not usually apply for RPL for this qualification. However, learners who have completed equivalent units of competency from endorsed training packages or accredited courses will be eligible for credit into other qualifications that contain those units.
Pathways from the Course
After achieving this qualification learners may consider pursuing SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.
Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as frontline team member, customer service assistant and point-of-sale operator.
Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. A possible job titles relevant to this qualification include Customer Service Assistant, Cashier, Retail Outlet Attendant, Sales Assistant (Fast Food Outlets) and Retail Assistant.

How do I enrol?
Prior to the enrolment read and understand the course information provided in this course information flyer, our website and the student handbook. Then complete the enrolment process by following the steps outlined below:
- Select the course of study you wish to undertake.
- Complete the application form and sign to declare that you have understood all the information provided.
- Scan and email the Application Form to EITE and supporting documents to info@eite.edu.au. Please note that application will not be processed without an application fee of $50. Alternatively, you lodge your application form along with the certified copies of supporting documents at Level 3, Suite 305 1510 Pascoe vale Coolaroo VIC 3048.
- The application form will then be assessed by EITE. If your application is successful, EITE will send a Letter of Offer and Acceptance Form which is required to be signed and returned to the EITE with required payments and documentation.
- Learners will be sent a confirmation of their enrolment if successful.
